Reveal clues through discovery
Prepare a finding privately and reveal it only after its progress is complete and its audience permits sharing.

Prepare the discovery
Open Clues from the lower table dock or from Manage campaign. As GM, enter a name, player-facing Content, private GM notes, color and 1–24 progress segments. Use one segment for a single discovery or several for an investigation. Choose campaign or scene scope and whether to pin the clue.
Players and streamers receive the record only when progress is complete and visibility is Reveal when discovered. Until then, they receive no name, identifier, unfinished progress or undiscovered count. GM notes remain private after revelation. This is the same saved clue in the table and manager, independent of RPG system.
Advance, reveal and hide
Only GMs change progress directly: left-click the progress bar to advance one step, right-click to reduce, or use its arrow keys. Reveal completes discovery and selects player visibility; Hide selects GM-only visibility without clearing progress; Reset clears progress without changing visibility. Reducing a completed clue hides it again until complete. Players may remember text they have already read.
Pinned clues show only a name and progress bar. Double-click the name or press Enter/Space: a GM opens the native editor, while players and streamers read the discovered Content in a simple description modal. Access is checked again; GM notes never become the description.
Move and connect the indicator
Drag the title to arrange a pinned clue locally; arrows move one pixel and Shift moves ten. Positions stay per account/campaign/browser and retain separate wide/narrow layouts. Transparency and dragging follow the clock controls; moving does not broadcast or change shared progress.
MapBuilder's Control clue delegates a configured advance, reduction, value, reset, revelation or hiding action through native permission checks. It does not give players a general clue editor. See the clue reference and Smart Objects.
